Then there are times when creators spot a beloved character or team and create another version that can make them interact with the other side. In a few cases, the creative artists working for either DC or Marvel happen to be “work for hire” basis, and they switch to the other side where they create another version of the character that met success for their previous employer. However, there are other characters which are more peculiar, and yet they get “reproduced” in the other worlds, and that is often due to a couple of things. These are so commonplace that there could be scores of iterations of such characters, yet, only basic commonalities between them. Characters like archers, undersea kings, cat thieves, armored warriors, and magicians are some of those characters. One of the reasons is that most of the famous superheroes are based on stereotypes which are required to build the expansive universes. This fierce competition and various other reasons as well make each rival keep track of what is working for the other, and it is not exactly unusual to see “reversed’ characters.
